Sledding is similar to skiing in that it is also low impact and inclusive to all skill levels. It’s also another sport that the whole family can join in on and have fun. I chose these two sports for those reasons. Fun is the main ingredient in staying fit. When a sport is fun, it encourages you do it more often. You get more exercise because it doesn’t even feel like you’re exercising. Even though it may be hard to face the harsh winters months, you need to get outside and exercise. Sunlight is very important and a lack of sun has been shown to cause depression and other disorders. Getting outside to play sports in the winter will not only keep you physical fit but mentally fit as well.
